  1. Unfortunately, Avram did not complete the other novels. I do have all his notes on what he was going to write but alas he moved on to other projects. Avram was a very unique voice and while he wrote some “stereotypical” Sci-fi novels which he usually wrote when money was tight his best Sci-fi were short stories in my opinion. “The House the Blakeneys Built” or “Help! I am Dr. Morris Goldpepper” are among my two favorites. If Kafka’s metamorphosis is considered Sci-fi then Avram had hundreds of other Sci-fi stories which is where I think a story like his Hugo Award winning short story “Or All the Seas With Oysters” would fall. I consider Avram a combination of sci-fi
,fantasy, mystery but mostly a writer of amazing literature. For those of you who like Davidson we are always looking for new guests on the Avram Davidson Universe podcast. You can contact us at AvramDavidson.com.

    1. Thank you for the comments. Are the notes for the second and third novel available at your website? Other commenters on YouTube have said that up to about 1977 there really wasn’t a distinction made between fantasy and science fiction. As I continue my read through of the Ace Science Fiction Specials I’ll be reading The Phoenix and the Mirror c1970. Anything I should know in advance of that read?
